Your intense feeling about what you do transcends into who you are, and that is catching. I am just like that with things I love, and that is why I am so successful with adolescents and children and families. You have helped me in many ways already. I have been grieving my weight gain for a long time but knew from my endocrinologist that the toxic effects of the medicine would last in my cells for a few years. Now, I am ready physically, mentally, and spiritually to be thin again. I do not hate myself this way, but I miss my very slim waist, flat tummy, and very firm body. I was a real knockout. Sometimes I get scared of getting older but not when I see Joan Collins, age 67, marrying a 36-year-old. Anthony thinks I am 44. He never questioned me, and I never told him I was 51, soon to be 52. There sure is age discrimination. I just want to be the best I can be, and that means growing older gracefully, eating better, exercising, and more discipline. Your energy has helped me get on track fully. Of course, last night, I was lonely and had 4 zeppoles, but then a large salad and water. So today I will do better. My body is sore, but it feels kind of good, a reminder that I am on track. I really am excited about our workouts, and you make them fun and interesting. I have been an athlete all my life. I played college basketball at a community college, which was highly competitive. After graduation, I started to play tennis competitively. However, my body was not equipped to master certain strokes. I had to develop stronger forearms, back muscles, and leg strength to get to the next level. By training with Joe Karszen, he helped me develop the muscles needed to improve my game. I've been training with Joe for a year now and have noticed significant improvement in my play. My son, Brendan, age 12, is a National Ranked Junior player in tennis. He was competing with 12-year-old boys. My wife and I decided to move Brendan up an age bracket to the 14-year-olds. At this level, we knew that our son needed a strength and conditioning program. We knew Joe's philosophy as being safe and productive. Brendan has been training with Joe for six months now.
